Are You Better Off?

LOVE this show!
This show had me hooked from the first 30 seconds of the pilot. I just started watching it about 2 weeks ago, and love it so much that I finished all four free seasons and bought the TV pass so I could see season 5. The stories are hilarious, and the cast is just perfect. How has it taken me so long to find this show?? I am so glad that I did! A bonus is that it is genuinely funny without having to rely on crude humor or dumbed down potty talk.... it is rare these days to find a show that is original, witty, and so addictive all in one. This is my new favorite show - great way tp unwind at the end of a long work day. Watch it, you will not be disappointed (and at approximately 22 minutes an episode, what do you have to lose? Watch it!).

Awesome show
The show is so underrated. It is much better than 30 rock. And it is so so so much better than the office.

Hilarious!!!!
I love this show! I just started watching it a month ago because it was free with my amazon prime membership. Boy have I been missing out! This is literally one of the funniest shows I have ever watched. All of the cast and characters are great and work great together, they are totally hilarious. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing Race Season 10 (2006)

Great Season
This was one of the better seasons of The Amazing Race. The contestants were more diverse than usual and it seemed they went to more interesting locales. It's funny how some seasons The Amazing Race seems to be a snake pit of vipers out to do one another in but in other seasons everyone gets along fine and solid friendships form. David, the coal miner, and Mary from Kentucky were the stars of this season. You could see from leg to leg Mary blossom as the world opened up to her. I also loved the two Korean brothers, Erwin and Godwin. The producers should choose more ordinary people and not so many Hollywood types and please - enough with the blond teams! I missed this season when it was aired so it was fun to watch it now one leg after the other. Great season.

travel is my retired life style
i have been a fan of amazing race since #1...i have had some fun times trying to match up where i've been with where the teams have gone like majestic restaurant in porto...i actually met an amazing race contestant in heathrow...

Amazing Race
I have watched amazing races since season 1, LOVE LOVE LOVE them, I was hoping for extras on the dvd, But other than that, they are great.

Thank You,
Sunita

Turtle Hill, Brooklyn

Want more.
Not what I expected. I was sad when it was over. I wanted more. One of the best real love stories.

Strange film, has strong pluses as well as a few minuses.
It's Will's 30th birthday, and his lover Mateo throws him a party at their row house, in a "was rundown, now fashionable" area of Brooklyn. Unfortunately, the first to arrive is an uninvited guest, Will's sister, who did not know he was gay (until Mateo comes out of the bathroom, wearing just a kilt), and clearly does not approve.

"Turtle Hill, Brooklyn" is a character-driven film, showing a variety of colorful gay and straight characters with a myriad of hang-ups, all guests at Will`s party. Included are some past - as well as potential future - tricks one or both of the couple has trysted with, and their presence makes it clear to them that their communication issues are hurting their relationship.

It's a bare-bones indie production, and looks it, although the acting is quite professional and carries the film well. Some scenes may seem to be going on too long but, then again, who hasn't been to a party where parts of it seem to drag everyone down? Pull up a...

Love is complicated...
Figuring out how to make a relationship work in real life can be tricky and this movie helps the viewer not feel alone in figuring it out. It reminded me of the importance of friendship and I appreciated how the ending wasn't like a 'fairy tale'. This movie made me laugh and cry. If you enjoy the messiness of life and know people are complicated then you will enjoy this movie about a couple figuring it out.

The Arrested Development Documentary Project

A Must for AD Fans
For fans, there is no question that Arrested Development is/was one of the best television shows of all time. This documentary includes interviews with cast, crew, and fans detailing just how it came to be so. As a die-hard fan, it was nice to see others articulate their feelings about this groundbreaking show as well as to get more details about what was happening behind the scenes (e.g. how the show could be so critically acclaimed and yet so doomed on network television).

Far from a huge mistake
This is basically a wake for Arrested Development, with cast, crew, and fans talking about what made it such a great show. You get a few insights behind the scenes but the main reason to watch this is to reminisce and remember the good times before its rebirth in a few weeks. Definitely a good thing to watch if you don't think you'll be able to make it to the start of the new season without getting another taste of the chicken dance.

Decent
Was interesting for an Arrested Development fan or otherwise. Felt the doc was garbled. There were clear chapters throughout but there was not much closure to each subject matter. It was more of a macro-view of Arrested Development than a analytical vie

Crinoline Head

Bring back the 80's horror!
I saw this movie back in 2000 when I read about it in Fangoria and I am so glad it's finally out on DVD! If you like the old horror movies like Sleepaway Camp then you will like this one. Is it the best movie ever? No, but movies like this are not supposed to be. I enjoyed the John Waters like humor mixed with the Friday the 13th type story. It's amazing what you can do with no budget and good acting. I can't wait for part 2!!

Has anyone seen my celery
Group of friends go to lake house for the weekend and one by one killed of in funny ways by crinoline head.yes it's low budget but its a good one one of those where you want to see some of the characters die..love the girl who gets killed in the toilet..wish they would make a part 2

a very imaginative parody
I really really enjoyed this film that i found out about from an earlier Fangoria article, It is a great play on the whole 80'steen lake-cabin slasher flicks. Very original "offings", especially the toilet scene! Also a John Waters-like atmosphere, almost, is very abundant. Very enjoyable film, if you dont over-analyze it or take it too seriously.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (SteelBook Packaging) [Blu-ray]

This Product Does Not Include A Digital Copy
While the movie is certainly worthy of praise and is a very excellent sequel to the first one, my review will be focusing on what now has become a monumental case of false advertising about getting a "Digital Copy" product. To be fair to the movie, I did give this a 5 star rating. There are other excellent descriptions of the movie already published under reviews so I am focusing on the product.

What you are getting with this and any other "Ultraviolet" product is NOT a digital copy. You don't get a copy of anything. All you get is the right to create an account to access the servers of the so called "Ultraviolet" system. Hence, if you are at an airport, you get the joy of using your data plan to capacity (and paying actual additional dollars if you have exceeded capacity) only to realize that while on the plane, you have no access to your purported digital copy. This is one of the biggest scams in the digital age. Advertising to let you think that you are getting a "copy"...

Betting against Sherlock Holmes- is a game I'm afraid you'd lose!
After the very good opening film in the Guy Richie Sherlock Holmes franchise- A Game Of Shadows takes the series to another level. There is a real feeling that the actors have a firmer grasp on their characters. It can also be said that Richie seems to be in more of a flow in this second installment. How many times can we actually say that a second film in a series improves upon the first?

First and foremost, Robert Downey Jr is an extremely gifted actor. Most people know that, but his command of this role is exceptional. You have probably seen the extent of his preparation in regards to the proper English accent he had to master- before ever getting infront of the camera! His acting in this film is up there with Chaplin and his other great performances. He is Sherlock Holmes and I believe any version of Sherlock in the future will be hard pressed to equal Downey's version. And Sherlock definately needs a worthy Watson. Enter Jude Law. The perfect sidekick, who has to shake...

Remember how much fun the first Pirates of the Caribbean was?
Well this film is that level of fun. After kicking into gear they quickly take an old and familiar setting and bring it into the modern day (figuratively that is, since this is actually set in the late 19th century). They manage to do this without making it too youth oriented. The true fun in this film will be in rewatching it, the quick banter and fun plot twists that turn out to be thought out well in advance (for the most part), will only be more enjoyable upon multiple viewings. The layers, much like those found in the Pirates script, are multiple and cerebral. They hit the viewer without our full awareness and when we later realize this it brings a smirk if not a smile to the face. Many plot points that seem by chance or appear to be toss away jokes end up returning and playing a larger role in the story, it's nice to see some effort in a big budget blockbuster - especially when its a sequel.

The action and staging of set pieces might not properly belong in the era...

Call of Duty

Pretty good show.
If you like dogs then this is a pretty good show. If you are really into cats then you might want to look for something else to watch.

Great Show
Love to see working dogs at there best. Great to see the hard work the trainers put in to make sure we are safe.

A show for dog men
I love this show. But I am biased. Why, because I have trained at Vohne Liche. I can tell you from experience these guys are for real. This show captures Kenny, Danny and the rest of the crew at VLK as they are. There is no Hollywood dress up here. These guys train hard. Here's why, if they don't get it right...if they produce a substandard dog, or a substandard handler, somebody will die. It is that plain and simple. That being said, these men and women work hard, Kenny is demanding. People who work for him have even more colorful ways of describing him. Do they also have fun? oh yeah, they have fun, they have comraderie, and great esprit de corps. If you ever get the chance to meet these guys in person, you will see they are not actors. Even when they are shown doing extracurricular activities (like turtle-ing), they are not doing it for the show, they do stuff like that all the time.

I recommend this show to everybody. There is something special about people that train...
